The D-Factory consortium have represented the D-Factory project at the following activities with other EC funded projects, workshops, meetings and events

High Value Products from Algae workshop - 1-2 November, 2016 Park Plaza, Nottingham


On November 2nd 2016, Patricia Harvey, D-Factory coordinator, was invited to give a presentation on Dunaliella microalgal value chain at the "High Value Products from Algae" workshop in Nottingham (UK)

LIMBAC - 2nd Lisbon Microalgae Biotechnology Advanced Course


DFactory partner A4F will host the 2nd edition of the LIMBAC - LISBON MICROALGAE BIOTECHNOLOGY ADVANCED COURSE between 13th and 18th of November. The course aims to familiarize participants with advanced concepts of microalgae cultivation paying special attention to scale-up processes, large scale cultivation and downstream processing. The course is intended to MSc, PhD or Post-Docs in the biology, chemistry and biochemical engineering fields with some previous background on microalgae biotechnology. Algae Biomass Summit


The Algae Biomass Summit will take place in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 23 - 26, 2016. The largest algae conference in the world is "where future and existing producers of algae products go to network with other industry suppliers and technology providers". More than 120 organisations will be attending the event. Also the D-Factory partner EVODOS will be present.

European roadmap for an algae based industry

06/04/2016 - Olhao /Portugal

A4F, IFEU and UG participated in the conference “European Roadmap for an Algae-Based Industry” held on 6-8 April in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Co-organised by the European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) in a partnership with the EU projects Miracles, FUEL4ME, Splash and the Algae Cluster (InteSusAl, BIOFAT and All-gas), the event brought together over 100 leading European microalgae researchers from academia and industry.

Algae Europe 2015

01/12/2015 - Lisbon/Portugal

A4F, Evodos, IBET, Monzon, UG and IFEU teams participated in the Algae Europe 2015 congress. Evodos and A4F were also sponsors of the event co-chaired by Vítor Verdelho (A4F). Guido Reinhart (IFEU) was part of the scientific committee.

Vitor Verdelho, A4F, was chair at the 3rd European Workshop on LCA for Algal Biofuels and Biomaterials organized by the Directorate General for Energy in close cooperation with the European Algae Biomass Association (EABA). IFEU team gave an oral presentation.
